Our founder, Lawrence A. Goldberg, established the high standards of professionalism, client service and plain hard work that all members of our legal team adhere to today.
Over the years, the law firm has participated in some of the most publicized and infamous legal cases in Chester County. Prominent among them was the Johnson Brothers' trial, a homicide case involving the interstate theft of farm machinery. We continue to defend clients facing criminal charges in state or federal court.
A History of Accomplishment
The firm soon became known for its successes in personal injury claims, including complex medical malpractice, product liability, dangerous drug and defective medical device cases. Our personal injury lawyers have won millions of dollars in financial compensation for injured clients.
Already highly respected as litigators, Richard E. Meanix and Dawson R. Muth joined the firm in 2000, after Muth retired as District Justice. Attorney Alex Silow, a former Assistant District Attorney, strengthened the litigation team when he joined in 2006.
We have always helped clients with family law and estate planning issues, which can impact their families and finances for generations to come. The addition of Cheryl A. McCallin, a former Family Court Master established the firm as a leader in family law.
Attorney Martin P. Manco, who originally joined the firm in 1981, returned to Goldberg Meanix, McCallin & Muth in 2008 to build our business law practice after nearly 30 years in business leadership positions. His hands-on business experience is extremely valuable to clients. The business law practice was further strengthened in 2009 with the additions of seasoned business lawyers Joseph E. Palma, John B. Hannum Jr., and Evan Kelly.
