Richard Meanix was born in New Jersey in 1960; moved to Chester County at age three; and has proudly resided in Chester County ever since.  Richard is a 1978 graduate of West Chester Henderson High School; a 1982 cum laude graduate of the University of Dayton; and a 1985 graduate of the Villanova University School of Law.

Richard has been happily married since 1988 and is the proud father of two daughters, born in 1990 and 1992.  The young ladies are quite athletic and the proud parents enjoy watching them perform at the highest level in field hockey, soccer, etc.  One of Richard's most enjoyable times was coaching the girls' travel basketball teams, topped by winning the tri-county regular season championship and playoffs with a 32-1 record.  Richard played for his high school and college golf teams and continues to play in tournaments on the weekends during the summer.

Richard contributes time and money to his daughters' high school boosters clubs; has served on various boards; volunteers for Special Olympic events and plans to coach Special Olympic athletes following his younger daughter's high school graduation.

Since he started practicing law in 1985, Richard has taken great pride in working extremely hard for his clients.  In civil cases, whether it is a so-called minor fender-bender with soft tissue injuries; a case involving permanent injuries and disabilities; or a wrongful death case, he meticulously reviews medical records, prepares his clients for answering discovery requests, depositions and trials as well as preparing grab their attention settlement packages.  Some cases have settled for at or over $1,000,000.00.  Richard will never hesitate to put more hours than are necessary to make sure his clients receive the best results he can deliver.

An example of his dedication to his clients is found in a criminal death penalty case in which Richard spent over 1,000 hours preparing.  Fortunately for his client, the young man not only avoided the death penalty, he was acquitted of all charges!  Richard works hard to make sure no one is ever more prepared for a hearing, argument or trial.  He prides himself in obtaining excellent results in local, state and federal criminal and traffic cases.  Chester County judges and federal judges have shown their belief in Richard's talents by appointing him to represent clients in some of the area's most illustrious cases.

Feel free to contact Richard for a free consultation concerning a personal injury case or criminal case.  As you'll see, he leaves the slick salesmanship to lawyers in other firms who need that approach.  Instead, Richard will be happy to give you his direct, honest opinion and view at the conclusion of the consultation as to what he believes is in your best interests.
