Dawson R. Muth
Dawson R. "Rich" Muth is a partner of Goldberg, Meanix & Muth. While Dawson concentrates his practice in the area of criminal defense and personal injury, he also handles real estate, landlord-tenant, and family law matters.
After graduating from Henderson High School and the University of Delaware, Dawson attended Widener University School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. Dawson first served a short time as a police officer and then eight years as a Pennsylvania State Constable. In 1988, Dawson became one of the youngest elected District Justices in Pennsylvania, serving in that capacity until 1998. Dawson was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to sit on the newly formed Court of Judicial Discipline in 1994. The Court of Judicial Discipline is the statewide trial court handling cases of misconduct filed against district justices, trial judges and appellate judges, including justices of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Dawson served on the committed that formulated the rules used by the Court today when deciding cases against judges.
Dawson is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Association of Driver's Licensing Attorneys. In addition, he is a member of the Chester County Bar Association, the Berks County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Dawson has been admitted to practice before the Courts in Pennsylvania, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court. He currently is a member of the Honorable John E. Stively, Jr., Inns of Court.
Dawson lives in the Borough of West Chester with his wife, Bethanne, and their two young sons, Patrick and Christopher.
